Download & Installation Instructions

This page contains instructions for downloading and installing the PenSoft Payroll.net Trial.  We recommend you print this page before you begin your download.  To print, select Print from the File menu. Prior to downloading the trial software, write down the activation code. This is necessary to activate the program after installation.


2008 PenSoft Payroll.net Trial

TO DOWNLOAD THE TRIAL

Click the DOWNLOAD button with arrow next to it on any of the editions page.

Download Options

  1. Save this program to disk. We recommend you use this option. It will save the file to your hard drive.  The download file is too large to save on a floppy disk. Save it on your Desktop or on drive c:\.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Multiple Workstations/Networks. Select option 1. "Save this program to disk." Save the file to your server's C:\ drive. Have each workstation install the trial from the server.

  • Click "Save this program to disk."
  • Click OK.
  • Click the drop down arrow in the Save In text box and select Desktop or C:\. For multiple workstations, save to your server's C:\ drive or common location path.
  • Note the download path and filename, N08-trial.exe
  • Click Save.
  • After download is complete, close your Internet connection and all other programs including any anti-virus programs.
  1. Run the program from its current location. The trial will install directly from our site. When the Installation Wizard appears, follow the instructions on your screen.

TO INSTALL THE TRIAL
(You will be able to use all information entered in the trial if you purchase the full version.)

Whether you choose to "Run the program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk", be sure to close all programs, including any anti-virus programs before installing.

If you have saved the trial file on your Desktop, double click the N08-trial.exe icon. When the installation wizard starts, follow the instructions that appear.

If you saved the trial file on your C:\ drive or another location, click Start, Run.

  • In the Run dialogue box, type C:\N08-trial.exe, or browse for the directory where you saved the file.
  • Click OK.
  • Follow the instructions that appear.

DESTINATION LOCATION: The setup program will prompt you for a path to install the program.  This trial should be installed at C:\Program Files\PenSoft\Payroll 2008. Or, click Browse to change the directory location if you did not install it in the default location.  Select the program group where your software is currently installed.

MULTIPLE USERS/WORKING ON  A NETWORK

Install the trial on each individual workstation. Not recomended, as you will have to update all computers when the full version is purchased.
